IMG STRENGTHENS APAC LEADERSHIP WITH TWO SENIOR APPOINTMENTS
Global sports marketing agency IMG has appointed two senior Asia-Pacific executives, bolstering its robust expertise, capabilities and network in the region. Carlo Nohra has joined as Vice President, Football, APAC, and Phil Mooney as Vice President, Strategy, APAC – based in Singapore and Melbourne, respectively.
 
The duo join an extensive APAC team spread across 15 key markets. They will help accelerate business development and IMG’s work with leagues and federations to drive growth through integrated advisory, commercial, digital, production, and event management solutions.
 
Nohra will lead IMG’s football strategy and operations across the region, overseeing key client relationships and working with leagues, clubs, federations, and stakeholders on governance, commercial growth, media strategy, and long-term development.
 
He brings extensive experience in football administration, commercialisation, and transformation across Asia and the Middle East. Most recently, Nohra served as Chief Operating Officer of the Saudi Pro League, where he played a central role in the league’s evolution from a domestic competition into a globally marketed football product. Prior to that, he held other senior leadership roles including Assistant General Secretary of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Vice President and General Manager of WWE in MENA and APAC.
 
Mooney is the sports marketing agency’s first dedicated strategy hire in the region, reinforcing its global consulting team and reflecting its commitment to delivering integrated, best-in-class advisory and commercial solutions. He will lead high-impact strategic advisory for IMG’s partners across APAC – drawing on IMG’s global team and working collaboratively with senior leadership in the region to deliver market insight, commercial rigour, and practical execution plans across rights, content, and partnerships.
 
Mooney joins from Paramount / Network 10, where he led international strategy initiatives across APAC. His previous experience includes roles at ColganBauer, PwC, and EY, with more than 15 years’ experience and expertise spanning strategy, commercial transactions, media rights, M&A, and business transformation.
