Frieze Seoul launched in 2022 and is Frieze’s first venture in Asia and its fifth fair overall, following Frieze Los Angeles, Frieze Masters, Frieze New York and Frieze London, which all have been established as key convening moments in the artworld’s calendar.
In July 2023, Frieze also acquired The Armory Show and Expo Chicago. Frieze Seoul concluded its second edition of the fair in September 2024, with over 70,000 visitors from a total of 36 countries with a strong contingent of Korean, Asian and International galleries. Frieze Seoul also has a lively and highly coveted Frieze Week programme that spreads throughout Seoul with participating galleries and partner brands organising various events around the city.
